CellaVision invites you to join our Lund, Sweden HQ as a Test Leader in Scanner Solutions or Hardware. You will drive verification and validation across development projects, collaborating with development managers and product teams to ensure robust product delivery.

We value hands-on engineers who balance exploration with process, eager to advance agile testing and ensure quality in digital cell morphology solutions. This is a full-time role based in Lund.

Qualifications

• An MSc in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in product development involving electronics, mechanics or software.
• Experience as a test leader or engineer in related fields (software, electronics, mechanics, biomedical).
• Experience with optical systems and image sensors.
• Experience in computer vision and digital imaging.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in biomedical engineering, MedTech, or regulated industry preferred.

About the Role

We are looking for a versatile test leader who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where research meets product development. You are curious, hands‑on, and comfortable moving between exploratory work and the structure needed to turn ideas into robust products.

The Test Leader leads the project’s test activities, planning and coordinating verification and validation throughout development. Working closely with the Development Manager and Product Manager, the role helps drive the project forward and ensures that development progresses according to plan.

You serve as test lead in cross‑functional development projects and actively contribute to the development of test methodologies, quality assurance, and agile ways of working.

You value teamwork, take ownership of your work, and can balance innovation with quality and delivery.

As a Test leader in Scanner Solutions or Hardware, your work will include:

Test Leadership and Project Support:

• Plan, coordinate, and lead test activities in development projects.
• Work closely with the development managers, directors, product managers and cross‑functional development teams.
• Ensure that verification and validation are conducted in accordance with the project plan and quality requirements.
• Identify and manage risks related to testing.

Test Planning and Execution

• Develop test strategies, test plans, and test reports.
• Write and execute tests, analyse test results and document deviations.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and results.
• Drive early test planning and exploratory testing throughout the development process.

Quality and Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure that test activities comply with relevant quality and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to quality assurance and product development documentation.
• Support the organization during reviews and audits.

Coaching and Process Development

• Coach and guide development teams in verification and validation activities.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of test processes.
• Act as a driving force in the transition toward more agile testing and development methods.

About You

Whether you are an experienced engineer or early in your career, we encourage you to apply. You have experience, or a strong interest, in product development from prototype through to production. You understand the value of teamwork and enjoy breaking down complex challenges into manageable parts that can be solved effectively together.

You remain calm and structured in demanding situations, and you have a strong ability to prioritize and focus on what matters most. Most importantly, you are curious, collaborative, and motivated to grow while helping the team succeed.

Your Background

• An M.Sc. in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in product development involving either electronics, mechanics, or software.
• Experience working as a test leader or an engineer within related fields (software, electronics, mechanics, biomedical).
• Experience with optical systems and image sensors.
• Experience in computer vision and digital imaging.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in biomedical engineering, medical devices, MedTech, or another regulated industry is preferred.
