Qualified German Teacher Year 9 (20%) IES Österåker opened in August 2024 and is a modern F-9 school with high ambitions. When fully established, the school will have around 600 students across two classes per year group. We follow the Swedish national curriculum, with up to 50% of lessons taught in English. Our school is built on clear routines, high expectations, and a safe learning environment where students and staff can succeed.
The school is located in central Åkersberga, about 30 minutes from Stockholm. Our campus combines newly built and renovated facilities and is close to sports facilities, nature, and the Stockholm archipelago.
We are looking for an experienced and qualified German Teacher to teach Year 9 students. This is a 20% position, starting 7 August, with teaching scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
As a teacher, you will plan, teach, assess, and follow up on students' learning in German. You will inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding while helping them achieve strong academic results. You will create engaging and well-structured lessons that support students with different learning needs, encouraging confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing German.
The position is 20%, with lessons taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting 7 August. Working hours Monday 08:00-12:00, Wednesday 08:00-12:00, and Friday 08:00-11:40.
