Job summary

Sinch Sweden AB is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design system infrastructure, redefining visual language, layout principles, and patterns for AI-assisted product development. You will define visual standards, semantic tokens, and MD guidelines enabling both human designers and AI agents to generate cohesive, on-brand UI across multiple产品 suites.

Collaborate with Brand and engineering teams, shape long-term roadmaps, and ensure WCAG accessibility, usability, and visual quality

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Design Systems Designer or Senior Product Designer working on complex, multi-product design systems at scale.
• Deep understanding of design system architecture, including advanced token strategies and component lifecycles.
• Experience in generative AI frameworks, prompting structures, and Markdown for design semantics.

Sinch is looking for a forward-thinking Senior Product Designer to drive the next generation of our design system infrastructure. Rather than focusing solely on maintaining static components, you will take a central role in redefining how our visual language, layout principles, and patterns operate in an AI-assisted product development lifecycle. Your mission is to define the visual standards, semantic tokens, and clear system guidelines (.md files) that allow both human designers and AI-agents to generate cohesive, high-quality, and on-brand UI across multiple product suites. This is a unique opportunity for a system-level designer who wants to bridge the gap between creative visual craft and generative AI.

• Drive the vision and architecture for an AI-ready design system, creating a framework of semantic rules and patterns optimized for prompt-based UI generation.
• Collaborate closely with our central Brand team to ensure Sinch's brands are accurately and consistently represented in our digital product patterns and component libraries.
• Translate our design patterns into clear, structured instructions and guidelines (.md files) that allow engineering teams and AI-agents to reliably generate on-brand interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with design leadership and stakeholders to establish the long-term roadmap for our global design system across multiple Sinch products.
• Work with your fellow product and engineering partners to build, test, and ship scalable design system tooling.
• Partner with and support product teams globally, ensuring they have the tools, templates, and guidance to design and develop quickly using the system.
• Ensure high standards of accessibility (WCAG), usability, and visual quality are deeply baked into the underlying system architecture, so they are automatically inherited during UI generation.
• Experiment with and pioneer new workflows that integrate AI-assisted design and prototyping tools directly into our daily design system operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Significant experience as a Design Systems Designer or Senior Product Designer working on complex, multi-product design systems at scale.
• Deep understanding of design system architecture, including advanced token strategies, component lifecycles, and keeping design patterns aligned with code.
• Experience in generative AI frameworks, prompting structures, structured markdown (.md files), and how LLMs interpret design semantics and visual rules.
• A strong strategic and visionary mindset, with a proven history of defining direction and driving alignment with design leaders, product managers, and engineering stakeholders.
• Excellent collaboration and advocacy skills, comfortable presenting to and educating diverse product teams on new workflows and design system standards.
• Outstanding craft and execution skills, with a portfolio showing systematic thinking, clear design documentation, and a strong eye for visual consistency and modern UI patterns.
• Strong understanding of how design translates to code (HTML/CSS, React, Tokens), as you do not need to be a production engineer, but you should easily speak the same language as developers.
• Comfort conducting user research and discovery as part of a product trio to understand how internal teams use the design system and where friction exists.

This is a hybrid role based in Sweden, with Stockholm as the preferred location and Malmö as an alternative. You’ll report to the Director, Product Design.

Candidates must have the right to work in Sweden. Relocation and work permit sponsorship are not available for this role.
