Job summary

SSC - Swedish Space Corporation in Sweden invites applications for Systems Engineer - Satellite Communications. You will join a growing systems engineering team supporting a global ground-station network and space missions.

The role combines hardware and software systems work, space communications expertise, and collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to drive project delivery and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, space technology or related field.
• Experience in systems engineering including hardware and software components.
• Experience with spacecraft operations or communications (TT&C, mission control systems, space-ground interfaces).
• Knowledge of ground-station hardware, RF signal chains, modulation/coding schemes, CCSDS protocols.
• Documented knowledge of a major programming language and software architecture trends.
• Experience with Linux environments, including Docker and networking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and integration of customers' space missions into our service system, ensuring efficient and reliable communications for successful space missions.
• Work on development projects to improve our systems, capabilities, and service offerings.
• Act as a Subject‑Matter Expert in discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive projects, analyses, and technical investigations.
• Provide technical support to sales in bids and proposals.
