Your role

At Saab, we are at the forefront of innovation in the aerospace and defence industry, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced HIL Software Tester to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and performance of our avionics systems, and we are looking for a tester to contribute to our mission of delivering cutting‑edge technology.

As a Software Tester in our Avionics division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases for our Avionics software. You will work closely with our engineering teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your work will also involve using hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) test rigs to simulate real‑world conditions and validate software requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
• Executing tests and documenting results.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve software defects.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Providing feedback and recommendations for improving software quality.

Your profile

We are looking for candidates who bring hands‑on experience as Software Testers in avionics, automotive, or other embedded systems environments. If you feel at home working with hardware‑in‑the‑loop setups, perhaps using dSpace or similar platforms, and have a solid grasp of modern testing methodologies and tools, you will fit right in.

Strong documentation skills are important to us, and experience with test automation tools or scripting languages is highly appreciated.
