Job summary

Husqvarna Group in Huskvarna is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to pre-develop solutions, new product development, and maintenance of handheld battery tools. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment where software, electronics and mechanics come together to deliver high-performing products.

You will collaborate across engineering teams; experience in embedded software and motor control is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• University degree within software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• A few years of experience in low level embedded software development. Experience within motor control and battery systems is a strong plus. Also knowledge in safety standards and cyber security (CRA etc.).

You will be supporting both Advanced Development initiatives and core Drive Systems activities, playing a key role in shaping future products while continuously improving existing solutions.

About The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to pre-develop solutions and initiative, new product development and the maintenance and enhancement of existing products. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment where software, electronics, and mechanics come together to create high-performing handheld battery tools.

In this role, you will be closely involved in both software and product development, collaborating with skilled colleagues across different engineering disciplines. Experience in electrical motor control is considered a strong advantage.

Your Profile

We are looking for a creative and self-motivated Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You thrive in an environment where not every requirement is predefined and are comfortable taking ownership, driving initiatives forward, and turning ideas into practical solutions.

You have experience in embedded software development and can translate technical needs into robust, efficient, and maintainable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of C, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and serial communication.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
