Role Overview:
We are looking for a Software & Boot Owner Engineer to take ownership of boot and boot loader design across classic/adaptive AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX hypervisor, and base software platforms. You will play a pivotal role in developing, testing, and implementing cutting-edge automotive software solutions, ensuring platform security and robustness.
Responsibilities
- Own the boot and boot loader design, and lead the full boot process chain development.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers for boot delivery, redesign, and improvements.
- Drive new requirements, test cases, regression testing, and ensure proper testing documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for boot-related development within your team.
- Develop testing strategies and use-cases for Hypervisor and Linux-based platform cores
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and open-source operating systems; boot loader experience is essential.
- Participate actively in agile Scrum ceremonies, contributing to software design, testing, and integration.
- Continuously investigate software bugs, enhance test coverage, and improve development processes.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Embedded C, Bash scripting, and Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, programming patterns, and best practices.
- Broad knowledge of compilers, file management systems, revision control, and software dependency management.
- Practical experience in board bring-up, low-level driver development, and debugging tools (e.g., Lauterbach).
- Experience with multicore system bring-up and Secure Boot key fusing is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams, taking ownership of deliverables.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to driving change.
