Job description

We are looking for an experienced Software Asset Manager to join the global SAM organisation in Gothenburg. The role combines operational Software Asset Management with stakeholder coordination and oversight of the software demand process across Digital.

You will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders and global SAM colleagues to improve software visibility, optimise licensing costs and ensure effective governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support day-to-day Software Asset Management activities across the software portfolio.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Product Owners and business stakeholders on:
  • Software licensing
  • Entitlements
  • Usage
  • Compliance
  • Maintain, validate and analyse software license, entitlement and usage data.
  • Identify opportunities to:
  • Reduce unnecessary software spend
  • Identify alternative solutions
  • Support license renewals, compliance reviews and software audits.
  • Work with stakeholders and vendors during audits and licensing reviews.
  • Manage visibility of software demand from initial request through assessment, approval and delivery.
  • Coordinate actions and follow‑ups with Digital Product Owners and other stakeholders.
  • Challenge software requests where appropriate by checking existing licenses, available solutions and potential alternatives.
  • Escalate delays, risks and blockers to ensure decisions and approvals are made efficiently.
Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
  • Software Asset Management
  • IT Asset Management
  • IT Procurement
  • IT Operations
  • Proven experience working with enterprise software licensing and compliance.
  • Practical experience supporting software audits and vendor negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex licensing and usage data.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for license optimisation and cost reduction.
