Job Location: Boden, Sweden.

Construction Manager
  • Oversee, manage, and direct construction from beginning to end.
  • Work closely and coordinate with the Project Manager.
  • Create and manage the overall Site Construction Schedule.
  • Experience in construction management on projects of similar size, type, and complexity.
  • Extensive industry experience with hands‑on project leadership in a demanding industrial environment.
  • Engaging and effective leadership that creates forward momentum across disciplines.
  • Highly execution oriented and decision‑making; knocks down barriers and gets it done.
  • Focused on problem solving and first‑principles orientation; challenge all stakeholders on requirements and outputs.
  • Ability to work under high pressure, tight deadlines, and excellent time management.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Create and issue 3‑week lookahead schedules every week.
  • Manage, plan, organize, implement, and control all construction activities per the Project Schedule.
  • Track inventory regularly.
  • Primary contact on site for construction and liaison with head office on project progress.
  • Create contractual documents for claims‑free sub‑contracts for site works.
  • Ensure the project is constructed according to design, budget, and schedule.
  • Plan to prevent problems and mitigate emerging ones.
  • Establish risk profile and proactively manage mitigation plans.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, standards, etc., are followed.
  • Site subcontractor management and implementation of HSE (Healthy, Safety & Environmental).
  • Ensure site progress as per schedule; if there are delays, initiate necessary actions.
  • Report progress to the Project Manager.
  • Provide daily and monthly progress reports and update the schedule for submission to the customer.
  • Discuss with the project team and propose/resolve customer and site‑related issues.
  • Work with the site sub‑contractor to maintain standards and alignment with the customer.
  • Attend customer meetings, contractor meetings, and provide direction.
  • Ensure timely disposition of the site contractor queries.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the project.
  • Inform the Project Manager of issues affecting project profit, costs, schedules, and client relations.
  • Maintain daily records of all site activities, including labor, plant, and any non‑compliant materials or workmanship.
  • Monitor project cost and provide timely identification of deviations from the budget.
  • Evaluate change orders/scope change requests of the subcontractor and provide input to the Project Manager.
  • In case of any accidents, damages, or emergencies at the site, ensure proper protocol and procedure.
Skill Requirements
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and documents.
  • Proficient with computer programs, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Blue Beam, Navisworks, and navigation of 3‑D models.
  • Knowledge of project control software such as Microsoft Project & Primavera P6 preferred.
  • Experience in water/wastewater treatment preferred.
  • OSHA standards and other site safety practices.
  • Organization and priority‑defining skills.
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and oral), and willingness to collaborate.
  • Effective communication in English and Swedish.
