Job summary

Saab AB seeks a Head of Group Function IT Transformation Office to steer Saab's IT transformation. You will unify people, translate strategy into actionable plans, and collaborate with business, technology and security teams to deliver lasting value.

You will lead a cross‑functional team, drive AI and automation adoption, oversee delivery against KPIs, and manage vendors and portfolios across a global organisation. The role requires strong leadership and fluency in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership of teams and capabilities in complex IT environments.
• Experience driving business transformation, strategic planning or commercial improvement initiatives.
• Strong delivery focus with expertise in project delivery, business analysis, architecture and QA.
• Experience applying AI, automation or modern ways of working to improve delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive engagement.
• Experience from large, global organisations; defence industry experience is a plus.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Take on a leadership role at the heart of Saab's digital transformation. As Head of Group Function IT Transformation Office, you will bring together the expertise needed to turn business priorities into coordinated change and lasting business value.

You will develop people, strengthen collaboration and drive modern ways of working, enabling Group Function IT to deliver transformation effectively and support Saab’s continued growth.

Your role

As Head of Group Function IT Transformation Office, you lead the organisation, people and capabilities within the area. Your mission is to develop a strong, coordinated team that supports transformation and delivery across Group Function IT.

The area brings together expertise to enable transformation and implementation of new global services within the area of corporate applications. You will ensure that these capabilities work together to connect business needs, technology choices, delivery quality and measurable outcomes. A key focus will be translating Group Function IT’s strategy into actionable plans and coordinated initiatives and increasing the use of AI and automation.

Working closely with service owners and service managers, you will enable effective change delivery and continuous improvement across the unit. As part of the Group Function IT management team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, technology and security teams, and vendors to align priorities, manage dependencies and follow up progress and results.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong combination of people leadership, business understanding and technology insight. You have a strong background in IT transformation and cross-functional delivery in a complex organisation.

You have experience leading teams and delivering results in complex IT environments while driving change and continuous improvement. You are comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across functions.

You are a people-oriented leader who creates engagement, develops others and fosters high-performing teams. At the same time, you have a strong delivery focus and a passion for modern technologies and transformation.

Key Qualifications And Experience

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience leading and developing teams and specialist capabilities in complex IT environments
• Experience driving business transformation, strategic planning or commercial improvement initiatives in complex organisations
• Strong understanding of project delivery, business analysis, architecture and quality assurance, combined with experience in vendor and performance management
• Experience applying AI, automation or modern ways of working to improve delivery and efficiency
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior management
• Experience from large, complex and global organisations; experience from the defence industry is considered an advantage
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
