Job summary

Scania is seeking a Senior System Engineer to translate complex customer needs into scalable vehicle software architectures. You will integrate embedded C/C++ solutions, support defense and specialized vehicles, and drive cross-functional collaboration across Scania and TRATON ecosystems.

The role requires deep knowledge of embedded systems, MISRA C, and automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434). You will operate in a hybrid setup with an emphasis on hands-on development and system-level thinking.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive software lifecycle and embedded systems.
• Proficient in C programming for embedded systems and MISRA C adherence.
• Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434) and functional safety (ISO 26262).
• Experience with real-time vehicle platforms (CRISP) and cross-domain collaboration.
• Strong communication in English and Swedish; proactive and ownership-driven.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and implement special customer requirements within Scania’s electronic architecture.
• Implement and adapt embedded software solutions in C/C++ to support specialized vehicle functionalities and customer-specific requirements.
• Lead and coordinate complex assignments across multiple systems and teams.
• Develop and maintain specialized functions for defense and special vehicles.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration.
• Investigate and resolve system and software deviations in field operations and production.
