Job summary

CellaVision in Lund, Sweden, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Applications team. You will develop algorithms and software for analyzers that automatically locate and pre-classify cells, focusing on digital imaging, C++, Python, and Windows desktop apps.

As technical lead, you will drive architecture, mentor juniors, review designs, and collaborate across labs and forums. A MSc in Engineering and strong command of English are required; Swedish work permit is necessary for non-EU

Qualifications

• MSc in Engineering in an appropriate field.
• Extensive experience in programming with C++ and/or C#.
• Experience with machine learning is a bonus.
• Strong understanding of large software system architecture.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills; responsible.
• Excellent English communication (verbal and written).
• Experience in product development involving electronics, mechanics and software.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead and advisor for SW development.
• Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications using C++, C#, and WPF.
• Develop and maintain backend services for databases and lab coordination using C++ and SQL.
• Develop algorithms within digital imaging using C++ and Python.
• Develop and maintain existing products within Product care.
• Perform troubleshooting and testing as part of quality work.
• Conduct investigations and research tasks.
• Review designs, reports, and source code contributions.
• Participate in cross-functional demos and forums as team representative.
• Mentor more junior colleagues.
