Job summary

Rarity Bioscience AB in Uppsala is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead and contribute to molecular diagnostics and cancer genomics projects across assay development, data interpretation, and client interactions. Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of cancer genetics and somatic mutation data interpretation
• Experience with variant calling and interpretation of NGS data
• Hands-on molecular biology techniques (qPCR, digital PCR, RCA, NGS) and flow cytometry
• Experience in assay development, optimization and validation
• Strong data analysis skills; R is an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Experience presenting scientific results to customers or at conferences
• Experience collaborating with pharma or translational groups is a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute service projects with internal teams, academics, clinical collaborators and pharma partners.
• Plan, perform, analyze, and report lab work across oncology, precision medicine and mutation detection projects.
• Analyze and report experimental and genomic data in relation to clinical data and biomarkers.
• Present results to customers and represent the company at conferences and meetings.
• Act as a scientific and technical expert in assay development, cancer genomics and molecular diagnostics.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members in daily operations and project work.
• Contribute to scientific publications, technical reports and conference abstracts.
• Maintain technical documentation in line with QMS and regulatory requirements.
