Job summary
A technology company in Linköping is seeking a skilled Senior PCB Layout Engineer to work within a cross-functional team on electronics design and embedded software. Responsibilities include designing multi-layer PCBs, driving schematic capture, and ensuring compliance with standards. Responsibilities
Drive schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
Design multi-layer PCBs (8+ layers) with strong EMC/EMI performance.
Define PCB stack-ups and optimize for thermal, EMC, and mechanical performance.
Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure manufacturability and assembly quality.
Collaborate closely with electronics engineers, embedded developers, and test engineers.
Support PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT and thru-hole.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IPC Class experience is highly beneficial).
Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in PCB design
Strong proficiency in Altium Designer
Solid understanding of DFM/DFA and electronics manufacturing
Experience with advanced stack-ups and multilayer design (8+ layers)
High attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Fluent in English
IPC Class 3 design experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering
