Ramboll is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design data centre facilities within the Nordics. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway, delivering innovative mechanical solutions that balance performance with sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading mechanical design teams in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Proven track record designing or constructing data centre facilities.
  • Experience as a consulting mechanical engineer.
  • Understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients to identify goals and optimise technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with third parties to frame constraints and solution spaces.
  • Develop mechanical concepts and designs for data centres.
  • Lead and oversee mechanical design teams across the Nordics to ensure implementation.
  • Support development of the Nordic mechanical business strategy.

Your new role

As our new Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work to create Data Centre solutions for our clients. You will be part of our Nordics group for Data Centre Facilities in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. You will work as part of passionate teams filled with talents from all over the world, your core colleagues are in locations across all four Nordic countries, but you’ll also become part of our Global Data Center Spearhead and will benefit from +150 Data Center specialists in the U.K., U.S.A., India, Germany and Asia as your new colleagues.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and oversee mechanical design teams across the Nordics to ensure implementation.
  • Participate in the continued development of our business in the Nordics in general and in respect to mechanical.
About You
  • Experience with leading mechanical design teams and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams where the best overall solution for the client may not be the optimal mechanical design.
  • Proven experience with designing or constructing data centre facilities.
  • Experience working as a consulting mechanical engineer.
  • A thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360.
  • Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts to our clients and project team partners in plain language, verbally and in writing.
