Job summary

Capgemini Sweden seeks an Infrastructure Engineer / System Programmer to join our mainframe team and modernise our z/OS platform in Stockholm. You will help operate and evolve the environment in a highly secure, business-critical setting.

You’ll work with IBM z/OS, SMP/E, PKI and encryption, participate in on-call duties, and collaborate across IT and business to deliver robust, scalable mainframe solutions.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with IBM z/OS in a system programming or senior infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of software maintenance and installation using SMP/E.
• Solid understanding of mainframe security, including certificates, PKI, encryption, and key management.
• Comfortable working in 24/7, high availability environments.
• Structured, proactive, and able to take ownership.
• Enjoys working both independently and in a small expert team.

Responsibilities

• System programming and maintenance of z/OS and related subsystems.
• Work closely with domain owners for MQ on z/OS, IMS and/or DB2 (depending on profile).
• Software installation, upgrades, and maintenance using SMP/E.
• Incident investigation, problem management, and operational support.
• Manage certificates, encryption, and security related configurations.
• Participate in on call duty and planned infrastructure activities.
• Contribute to modernisation, automation, and continuous improvements.
