Job summary

Zeekr/Geely’s Zeekr Design in Gothenburg seeks a Senior Interior Designer to craft user-centered automotive interiors. You’ll create concepts from sketches to production-ready solutions, collaborating with Color & Trim, CMF, engineering and fabrication teams to deliver a unified design language.

You will visualize with Alias, Blender, Maya, Houdini and other tools, translate ideas into Class-A surfaces, and present compelling rationale to stakeholders in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Transportation Design or related field.
• 6–10 years automotive interior design experience.
• Strong sketching, visualization and storytelling abilities.
• Proficiency in Alias, Blender, Maya, Houdini, Gravity Sketch, Grasshopper, and KeyShot.

Responsibilities

• Create inspiring interior design concepts from initial sketches through to production intent.
• Develop and visualize innovative solutions using digital and physical design tools.
• Translate design ideas into high-quality 3D models and Class-A surfaces.
• Collaborate with Color & Trim, CMF, engineering, and fabrication teams to deliver a unified design vision.
• Present and communicate design concepts, rationale, and user benefits to stakeholders.
• Work with suppliers to ensure high-quality execution while maintaining the design vision.
• Support prototype development and validation activities when needed.
• Drive projects independently while contributing to a collaborative design culture.

Key responsibilities:

Create inspiring interior design concepts from initial sketches through to production intent.

Develop and visualize innovative solutions using both digital and physical design tools.

Drive projects independently while contributing to a collaborative design culture.

Degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.

6-10 years of experience in automotive interior design, preferably within a Chinese OEM environment.

Strong sketching, visualization, and storytelling abilities.

Proficiency in industry-standard design and visualization tools such as Alias, Blender, Maya, Houdini, Gravity Sketch, Grasshopper, and KeyShot.

Experience taking designs from concept development through surfacing and production feasibility.

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and interior automotive trends.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Mandarin is considered an advantage.

Structured, analytical, and able to balance creativity with technical and business requirements.

Self-driven, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.

A collaborative team player who enjoys turning ambitious ideas into exceptional products.
