Job summary

Svea Solar in Stockholm is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer (Django) to design and implement scalable web solutions for our customers and internal teams. You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, shaping how our products evolve and integrate with data, analytics, and AI-assisted development.

You should bring 5+ years of fullstack experience, strong backend focus, Django expertise, and familiarity with PostgreSQL and AWS.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional fullstack experience with backend as the primary strength.
• Experience with Django.
• Experience with event-driven design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Strong frontend development skills.
• Fluent in English or Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain both frontend and backend features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to create functional and user-friendly solutions.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and best practices, supporting long-term scalability and event-driven design.
• Own complex technical decisions independently.

Senior Fullstack Engineer (Django)

About the Role & the Team

As our Senior Fullstack Engineer, you'll be part of a talented and ambitious agile team. Together you'll design and implement technical solutions across our web applications, ensuring a seamless and reliable experience for our users, whether external customers or internal teams.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues including engineering, product, and analytics. We follow a collaboration-first approach, working three days a week from our Stockholm office. We embrace AI-assisted development and are always looking for ways to work smarter – experience or curiosity in this space is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain both frontend and backend features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to create functional and user-friendly solutions
• Contribute to architectural discussions and best practices, supporting long-term scalability and event-driven design

• Have experience with a CSS/styling framework or utility library (e.g., Tailwind)
• Have experience with a CMS platform
• Are experienced with or curious about AI-assisted development tools and workflows
