Job summary

Definitive Healthcare is seeking an experienced frontend engineer in Gothenburg to join a team of engineers building scalable, high‑quality frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.

You will work closely with product, backend, and infrastructure teams, drive frontend architecture, mentor peers, and contribute to best practices and tooling improvements. The role emphasizes usability, accessibility, and end‑to‑end ownership.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional frontend development experience with TypeScript and Angular or similar frameworks.
• Proven experience designing scalable, high-performing frontend applications.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and component-driven development.
• Experience leading technical discussions, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture.
• Good testing practices and code quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Drive frontend architectural evolution to support growth, performance, and UX at scale.
• Write robust, maintainable, and accessible code with strong emphasis on usability.

In this role, you will work in a team of experienced frontend engineers in close collaboration with product, backend, and infrastructure teams to build and scale the services that power our platform.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript
• Driving the architectural evolution of our frontend to support growth, performance, and user experience at scale
• Writing robust, maintainable, and testable code with a strong focus on usability and accessibility
• Collaborating cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver impactful features
• Mentoring and supporting other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
• Contributing to frontend best practices and advocating for continuous improvement in processes and tooling

Experience

• Several years of professional experience in frontend development, with significant experience in TypeScript and Angular, or similar frameworks
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex, scalable, and high‑performing frontend applications
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and component‑driven developmentSolid experience collaborating with designers to deliver polished, accessible, and user‑friendly interfaces
• Experience leading technical discussions, mentoring engineers, and contributing to architectural decisions
• Strong understanding of testing practices and code quality standards

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern build tooling (Webpack, Nx, etc.)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
• Familiarity with databases (both SQL and NoSQL)
