Keysight seeks an Expert Forward Deployment Engineer to join customer projects as a software developer, systems engineer, and deployment lead. You will ship production code, translate concepts into structured deployment plans, and serve as the technical lead for high-impact engagements.

You will embed within customer environments to customize, integrate, and deploy technology in real-world production systems, solving complex problems and delivering reliable releases.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of software/systems engineering experience.
• Strong software development across multiple stacks.
• Expertise in at least one domain (PHY/L1, MAC/RLC/PDCP/L2, or RRC/NAS/L3) with 4G/5G knowledge.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, Linux, embedded or real-time software.
• Experience debugging protocol interactions via logs, traces, and packet captures.
• Familiarity with 3GPP specs, interoperability and implementation behavior.
• Ability to produce production-quality code and mentor others.

• Reduce broad concepts into structured, multi-workstream deployment projects.
• Act as technical lead for complex or high-impact deployment engagements.
• Architect and own solutions requiring specialized skill sets.
• Work onsite or with customer development teams during feature introductions.
• Analyze signaling flows, traces, timing, and performance data to isolate failures.
• Write/modify application and protocol-stack software and firmware.
• Develop and extend Python APIs that customer teams integrate against.
• Build automation workflows inside the customer's workflows.
• Create diagnostic instrumentation when tools are insufficient.
• Develop, validate, and deploy controlled patches and feature flags.
• Run rapid prototyping loops with customers to test new features.
• Provide feedback to core product/engineering translating field problems into requirements.
• Incorporate field improvements into the core product.
• Mentor lower-level engineers and help develop the team.
