Job summary

Nordic Investin is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to own critical parts of the Linux-based device platform. You will work on kernel level features, ensure maintainability, reliability and secure foundations for partner products.

You will collaborate with hardware, software and product teams, perform board bring up, run tests, and contribute to production readiness. The role blends hands-on delivery with architectural judgment and peer mentoring.

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer on behalf of one of our partner companies. You enjoy the point where kernel behaviour, board constraints and product requirements meet.

The partner is creating a Linux based device platform for connected products. You will own essential parts of the operating system layer, support new hardware and give application teams a stable, secure foundation.

The environment will suit someone who enjoys building systems, testing assumptions in code and taking responsibility for production behaviour. Technical choices are expected to be explained in terms of maintainability, reliability and the people who use the product.

How you will work

You will work in short delivery cycles with direct access to product, domain and operational colleagues. The partner expects engineers to review designs, test assumptions early and follow important changes into production. Decisions should be recorded clearly enough that another engineer can understand the tradeoff months later.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work.
