Job summary

COWI in Sweden seeks an Electrical Lead within Buildings to take overall responsibility for the electrical discipline from concept to delivery, setting direction and ensuring high quality across projects.

You will lead design teams, own technical solutions, mentor colleagues, support tenders and cost estimates, and collaborate with HVAC, structural engineering, and architecture to create sustainable, future‑proof buildings.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in electrical design within building projects.
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Experience in leading projects or technical disciplines.
• Strong communication skills and a commercial mindset.
• The ability to build trust – both internally and with clients.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating electrical design in building projects.
• Taking ownership of technical solutions, quality, and deliveries within the electrical discipline.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients on all electrical-related matters.
• Supporting, mentoring, and developing colleagues within the team.
• Contributing to tenders, cost estimates, and strategic decisions.
• Collaborating closely with other disciplines such as HVAC, structural engineering, and architecture.
