Datamatics Global Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Architect for an on-site, 1-year engagement in Sweden. The role focuses on designing and delivering a robust data platform with emphasis on historical data, analytics, and regulatory reporting within the banking sector.

The candidate will blend hands-on architecture with independent assessment, collaborating with the existing technical team to reduce delivery risks and to establish a scalable, maintainable solution.

Formación

• Proven experience designing and delivering production data warehouse solutions within banking or financial services.
• Strong experience in modern data platform architectures, including data modeling, data integration, ETL/ELT, historical data management, and evaluation of technology alternatives.
• Experience designing and implementing modern data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, including SQL-based data platforms, object storage, and historical data management.
• Experience with complex financial data, including auditability, data lineage, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to evaluate architectural alternatives and balance quality, complexity, cost, and delivery risks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to challenge technical proposals constructively.
• Practical implementation experience in banking is essential. We are looking for someone who has delivered comparable solutions, not solely provided high-level architecture advice.

• Ensure the architecture supports business and analytical requirements, including historical accuracy, traceability, data quality, and performance.
• Evaluate architectural alternatives and support critical technical decisions.
• Provide practical guidance on implementation planning and technical dependencies.
• Review and challenge architecture, assumptions, and technical choices.
• Identify risks, gaps, alternatives, and trade-offs.
• Provide recommendations based on experience from comparable banking implementations.
• Act as an experienced sparring partner to the existing technical leadership.
• Help translate architecture into an implementable solution.
• Participate in critical design reviews and provide guidance during implementation.
• Share relevant experience and lessons learned with the project team.
• Architecture Assessment: Independent review of the architecture, including risks, alternatives, and recommendations.
• Target Architecture: Contribution to a documented, implementable data warehouse architecture.
• Architecture Decision Support: Recommendations and rationale for critical technical decisions.

  A strategic data and information transformation project. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Architect to support the design and delivery of a modern data platform supporting historical data, analytics, and regulatory reporting, with a particular focus on historical data and analytics.

  We are looking for someone who has successfully designed and implemented comparable solutions within banking or financial services.

  The assignment combines hands‑on architecture expertise with independent assessment of technical approaches. The architect will collaborate with the existing technical team, bringing practical experience, constructive challenge, and lessons learned from previous implementations.

  The objective is to establish a robust, scalable, and maintainable solution while reducing architectural and delivery risks.
