Job summary

Aurora Engineering AB is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, implement and operate our production data platforms. The role centers on platform engineering (about 85%) with data engineering tasks (about 15%), focusing on reliability, scale and automation. Stockholm-based with remote or hybrid options, you’ll own critical data pipelines and production environments and collaborate across teams to improve throughput.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Spark in Scala and Python.
• Production Airflow experience is required.
• Ownership of data platform/infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, upgrade, optimize and manage production data platform environments.
• Run and maintain Airflow in production.
• Build and tune Spark workloads in Scala and Python.
• Work with large data sets and complex data flows.
• Contribute to CI/CD and platform automation.
• Take operational responsibility for reliability, performance and scalability.
