Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Data Solutions and Products team within Cloud Platform and Data. The role focuses on building a strategic B2B API platform for monetizing vehicle and connected car data, with external data partners and fleet customers in Europe.

You will design scalable data pipelines, ensure security, and enable data access for stakeholders. You will work with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS and Azure services, modeling data for reporting and analytics,

Qualifications

• At least 5 years continuous experience in data engineering.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies (data lakes, Spark, Flink, Kafka).
• Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL, DevOps, CI/CD, testing.
• Expertise with SQL or Python.
• Experience with AWS and Azure data services.
• Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Power BI for data analytics and visualization.
• IaC experience preferred.
• Automotive connectivity data experience preferred.
• Fluent English; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable batch and stream data pipelines to ingest data into the platform.
• Develop data processing workflows for cleansing, deduplication, and transformation.
• Operate and maintain the platform with the infrastructure team.
• Perform data platform upgrade tests including security, regression and functional tests.
• Implement checks to ensure data security, accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Set up monitoring for pipeline performance, data quality and system health.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in data pipelines and storage.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data models and meet requirements.
• Provide data access support and address technical challenges.
• Document pipelines, architectures and workflows for maintenance.
• Design and maintain data models for BI reporting.
• Develop simple dashboards with Power BI.
