Senior Engineer – Core Synchronization Algorithms

Role Overview

Senior engineer responsible for developing and implementing advanced control, estimation, and signal processing algorithms for time synchronization in large‑scale networks such as 5G base stations.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, tune, and implement control algorithms (Kalman filtering, Model Predictive Control, PI/PID, observers, state estimation, system identification).
• Develop production‑quality software in modern C++ (C++20/23) for TimeNodes and support tooling in Python.
• Translate mathematical models into robust, maintainable distributed‑system code.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues and teams responsible for data processing, estimation, and oscillator control.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automatic control, control theory, or cybernetics.
• Experience designing, analyzing, tuning, or implementing control algorithms.
• Deep mathematical foundation in estimation, filtering, optimization, statistics, signal processing, or dynamic systems.
• Proficiency in modern C++ and Python.
• Linux‑based development experience.
• Ability to convert complex algorithms into production‑ready code.

Preferred Experience

• Time synchronization technologies (PTP, NTP, SyncE, GNSS‑independent).
• Distributed or networked systems, TCP/IP, Kubernetes or cloud‑native deployments.
• Real‑time or near‑real‑time systems, graph theory, statistics, mathematical optimization, telecom, 5G, or robotics.
