Quest Global is seeking an experienced CFD engineer in Linköping, Sweden, to conduct advanced simulations for gas turbine systems. You will develop and validate models, interpret results, and work with design teams to optimize performance and efficiency.

The role requires 4–8 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree, with expertise in STAR-CCM+ and Python/Cantera for combustion analysis. Collaboration with global teams is key in this on-site position.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree in Thermal/Chemical/CFD/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Expertise in using commercial CFD software STAR-CCM+, Solver & Pre-post tools.
  • Deep knowledge of reaction modeling including soot and NOx formation/reduction.
  • Strong understanding of gas turbine components and combustion processes.
  • Familiarity with Python and Cantera for combustion analysis; CAD tools for model prep.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct simulations for cold flow, hot flow, mixing and fluid-solid interactions within combustion systems.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize models that simulate complex physical phenomena and reaction chemistry.
  • Create concepts and designs for Gas Turbine systems, modules and components.
  • Analyze simulation data and provide actionable insights for design improvements.
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate CFD results into product development.
  • Improve and enhance analysis methods to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adhere to Quest Global processes and values; collaborate with global/local teams.
