The Senior Business Systems Engineer will act as a strategic technical leader, ensuring that all business systems solutions, designs, and implementations align with organizational priorities and architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Support joint IT/business roadmap planning and prioritization, develop a comprehensive business systems roadmap for enhancements, upgrades, and integrations, design and deliver IT services that enhance business performance, monitor process automation and tool performance, and recommend data‑driven improvements that drive measurable business value.
- Operational Leadership: Lead and guide internal and external engineers in business systems delivery, including operations, maintenance, and continuous improvements. Coordinate Solution Architects, define architectural processes, methods, and standards, document and publish the targeted business systems architecture, and ensure all operational IT services deliver intended business value and support initiative prioritization.
- Strategic Architecture & Governance: Establish and govern the business systems architecture vision aligned with the company’s Business, Digital & IT Strategy. Maintain an effective Enterprise Architecture governance framework with clear policies, principles, and standards, monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, and participate in the Change Advisory Board for new business systems introductions.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Provide hands‑on technical leadership in design and development activities, lead cross‑functional teams to achieve target architecture goals, mentor engineers, translate complex architectural concepts into actionable guidance, and actively participate in business‑driven projects.
- Integration & Standards: Ensure solutions integrate effectively across business segments and adhere to established standards, identify and eliminate unnecessary customization, promote collaboration tool best practices, and drive consistency and reusability across the business systems landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, business systems, or related roles with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise business systems platforms and integration technologies.
- Track record of successfully delivering complex architectural initiatives in dynamic environments.
- Proven experience in IT management practices including Incident Management, Problem Management, and IT process frameworks.
