Job summary

Deploja is seeking a senior backend engineer to join our consulting team in Sweden. You will work on data-intensive systems and advanced search platforms, collaborating with clients and internal projects.

You’ll contribute to architecture, design and delivery in agile environments, with a strong emphasis on quality and customer value. We offer long-term assignments, a competitive base salary, a company car, occupational pension, and salary conversion opportunities.

Qualifications

• Senior backend engineer with hands-on experience in data-intensive systems and search platforms.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, markets and financial analysis.
• Experience in agile teams with continuous delivery.
• Self-sufficient, customer-focused mindset with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Expertise with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch including indexing and query design.
• Experience self-hosting OpenSearch/Elasticsearch clusters.
• Familiar with TDD and data ingestion/reconciliation pipelines.
• Solid financial domain knowledge.

• Senior-level backend engineer with extensive hands-on experience in data-intensive systems and search platforms
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, markets, and financial analysis is highly valued
• Experience working in agile teams with continuous delivery practices
• Self-sufficient and customer-focused mindset with ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Node.js

• OpenSearch or Elasticsearch (advanced: indexing, query design, aggregations, ranking, performance tuning)
• Self-hosting and operating OpenSearch/Elasticsearch clusters
