Job summary

MAJORITY is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our Stockholm team. You will own and evolve real-time money movement services built with C# microservices on Kubernetes, with an emphasis on reliability and scalability in production.

You will collaborate across the engineering group, take initiative, and drive technical decisions while contributing to maintainable, high-quality code and rapid delivery for a growing FinTech platform.

Qualifications

• Experience building and running microservices and event-based systems in production at scale.
• Track record of shipping real systems and maintaining them in production.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems reliability: idempotency, retries, ordering, and eventual consistency.
• Good understanding of high level architecture and design.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with C#, Kubernetes and SQL, or similar.
• Experience with payment platforms, FinTech, Banking or security.
• Experience growing with a team on evolving products with many users.
• Experience building new products with maintainability and scalability in mind.
• Vision for product development and codebase evolution.
• Uses AI tools like Claude or Codex in daily work.
• Loves R&D and exploring new technology.

MAJORITY is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our Backend team. This is a full time, hybrid position based at our office in Stockholm, Sweden. Developers may work from home up to 2 days a week.

Basic Requirements

• Experience building and running microservices and event-based systems in production, at scale
• A track record of shipping real systems and supporting them in production
• Solid understanding of distributed systems reliability: idempotency, retries, ordering and eventual consistency
• Good understanding of higher level architecture and design
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience with C#, Kubernetes and SQL, or similar
• Experience with payment platforms, FinTech, Banking or security
• Experience working with a growing team on evolving products with many users
• Experience building new products with an eye on maintainability and scalability
• Vision for product development and for how a code base evolves
• Uses AI tools like Claude or Codex in daily work
