Hacksaw Studios in Stockholm is seeking a capable C# platform developer to join our growing team. You’ll build and maintain high-performance backend systems powering our games and platform infrastructure, solving real technical challenges that impact thousands of active users.

You’ll collaborate with product teams to ensure architectural consistency, scalability, and reliability, and you’ll contribute to tests, documentation, and ongoing performance improvements in a fast-paced gaming

Qualifications

• Proven experience in C# backend development.
• Strong ASP.NET knowledge (or willing to learn on the job).
• Proficiency in SQL and high-performance schemas.
• Experience with caching strategies, e.g., Redis.
• Multithreaded programming and thread-safe design.
• Strong debugging skills in C#.
• Commitment to performance, scalability, and reliability.

You'll be the person helping build and maintain the high-performance backend systems that power our games and platform infrastructure. You'll be solving real technical challenges that impact thousands of active users, collaborating closely with product teams, and helping ensure our platform is robust and ready for future growth.

The Role

Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Design & Implement Features: Build robust, scalable features for our C# / ASP.NET-based platform and supporting systems.
• Optimize Performance: Ensure code and data structures deliver high throughput, low latency, and reliable processing of thousands of transactions per second.
• Testing & Stability: Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests to ensure platform stability.
• Code Collaboration: Participate in code reviews and contribute to clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain clear and thorough technical documentation.
• Team Coordination: Work closely with peers and product teams to maintain architectural consistency and meet performance standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in C# backend development.
• Solid understanding of ASP.NET (experience preferred but can be developed on the job).
• Deep knowledge of SQL, including writing efficient queries and designing high-performance database schemas.
• Practical experience with caching strategies (e.g., Redis).
• Expertise in multithreaded programming and thread-safe design patterns.
• Proficiency in using the C# debugger for troubleshooting complex issues.
• A mindset focused on performance, scalability, and reliability.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with UX and UI design.
• Experience with Haxe.
• Experience with Git, TypeScript, React, Linux, Bash, npm, Bun, Docker, Cucumber, GitLab CI, and AWS.
• Experience working with web-facing C# systems.
• Previous experience working in platform teams, developing SDKs, or supporting external developers.
