Job summary

Induconsult Sverige AB is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Platform Engineer to own and evolve the cloud platform serving Lund-based engineering teams. You will focus on shared platform ownership, enabling faster, safer deployments on AWS and event-driven backends.

You will shape migration from Kubernetes and GitOps toward managed AWS patterns and lead infrastructure automation. The role emphasizes Python tooling, observability, and strong collaboration with backend engineers to improve production

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production.
• Deep understanding of DevOps, platform engineering, CI/CD, and infra automation.
• Experience with Kubernetes and GitOps-based deployment workflows.
• Experience with event-driven or asynchronous backend systems using events, queues, pub/sub, and AWS services.
• Experience migrating or modernizing infrastructure toward managed AWS services.
• Strong Python experience in backend tooling, automation, or platform tooling.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Good understanding of IAM, networking, monitoring, and secure access patterns.
• Experience supporting production systems through incidents, logs, metrics, retries, and operational improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with backend engineers on platform and deployment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the shared AWS platform capabilities used by backend teams.
• Drive migration from Kubernetes/GitOps toward managed AWS patterns.
• Improve CI/CD, deployment automation, release safety, and rollback workflows.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS tooling.
• Support secure, reliable use of AWS services (IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, etc.).
• Support event-driven architectures, including queues, pub/sub, and Redis caching.
• Assist backend module owners with platform-related design decisions and production readiness.
• Support managed database operations, backups, performance, and migrations.
• Write Python tooling to improve developer productivity and operations.
• Improve observability, logging, metrics, alerts, and incident response.
