Job summary

Koenigsegg is seeking an experienced Electrical Harness Engineer to take ownership of vehicle harness schematics and integrate new ECUs into existing architectures. You will design and maintain wiring diagrams, BOMs, and connector definitions, ensuring deployable and manufacturable solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive electrical design, strong knowledge of ISO/SAE standards, and collaboration with Electronics, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant automotive electrical design experience.
• Experience with harness schematics design, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and connectors.
• Solid knowledge of automotive electrical systems, standards, and regulations (ISO, SAE).
• Experience with prototype and production harnesses and electrical architecture.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of vehicle electrical system schematics and wiring harness schematics.
• Design and maintain harness schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, cable lists, and connector definitions.
• Define wire types, sizes, terminals, seals, and connectors per electrical requirements and automotive standards.
• Integrate new ECUs and electronic components into existing vehicle architectures.
• Generate and maintain harness requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Electronics, Mechanical, Prototype, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to ensure robust harness integration.
• Interface between Electronics and Harness Design teams.
• Support sourcing activities in collaboration with Purchasing and external suppliers.
• Debug harness-related issues at bench and vehicle level and support prototypes.
• Ensure schematic solutions are deployable, manufacturable, and serviceable.
