You will be active within the research community, participating in departmental activities such as seminars and workshops, contributing to research projects, communicating research findings through scientific publications, and helping to attract external research funding.

The position also includes contributing to competence development across Sweden through AIDA’s activities, including project support, workshops, and courses. To a limited extent, the position may involve teaching at undergraduate and advanced levels, as well as supervising students within the faculty’s educational programmes.

The position entails close interaction with leaders and experts from various organizations, universities, companies, and healthcare providers in different cities and countries. Travel is therefore expected as a natural part of the role.

In this position, you will serve as the Scientific Lead of AIDA Data Hub. This includes leading and developing the hub’s strategies to support excellent patient‑centred research and overseeing its scientific collaborations. The role is part of the hub’s management team and reports to the Head of Unit, who has overall responsibility for the hub’s operations. As the hub is a unit within SciLifeLab, you will be expected to assume the role of Platform Scientific Director within the SciLifeLab organization.

Key responsibilities include developing and leading collaborations, particularly within large‑scale international research consortia, and successfully securing external funding to support the hub’s continued development. The role also includes responsibility for the hub’s support to strategic partners and for platform features specifically tailored to the medical application domains served by the hub. In addition, the position involves hands‑on work related to the development of these systems.

As part of your duties, you will stay informed about national and international developments within your field, as well as broader societal developments relevant to your work.

You are flexible and able to move between different pedagogical and scientific contexts. You willingly share your knowledge and contribute to the professional development of the team, collegial ways of working, and a positive social environment. We regard active presence and engagement as essential both for carrying out your responsibilities effectively and for thriving within the workplace community.
