Job summary

Xebia Group is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Android, to enable and perform highly efficient Android app development. You will drive the complete product lifecycle from idea to delivery, building high-quality apps and reusable libraries for multiple products and internal teams.

The role requires deep Android expertise, Kotlin/Java proficiency, and experience with REST APIs and SQL databases. The position is fully onsite in Sweden, with five days per week in the office, and you will mentor

Qualifications

5+ years of Android development experience.
Strong knowledge of the Android SDK.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications and reusable libraries for multiple products and internal teams.
Design, implement, test, and maintain public APIs and SDKs with clear documentation for internal and external users.
Deliver complex features, improve user-facing functionality, and optimize existing codebases for performance.
Analyze performance and reliability, refactor code, and optimize memory and battery usage across devices.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and coverage.
Participate in code reviews and design discussions; promote engineering best practices.
Collaborate with product and business teams to support informed decisions; mentor junior developers.
