We are looking for experienced Senior AML Specialists to support a regulated financial services organisation in strengthening and enhancing its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and broader financial crime compliance framework.
The role will primarily operate within the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) and will focus on independent, risk-based oversight of AML activities, controls and processes.
The successful consultants will work closely with AML Operations, Compliance stakeholders, senior financial crime professionals and relevant MLRO functions. The assignment will initially involve hands-on support with critical AML activities, before developing into broader second-line oversight responsibilities.
This includes assessing the design and effectiveness of AML controls, reviewing financial crime investigations and suspicious activity reporting, analysing risk trends and management information, and supporting regulatory readiness.
The position requires a strong understanding of AML regulations, excellent analytical and investigative skills, sound regulatory judgement and the ability to independently assess complex, sensitive and potentially high-risk financial crime cases.
