Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Senior Software Engineers to design, build, and scale AI infrastructure in Stockholm and across Sweden. You will work on production-grade systems powering AI products used by millions, with Python/TypeScript and cloud back ends.

This fully remote, hourly contract offers autonomy, real architectural challenges, and collaboration with top ML engineers and researchers. Own meaningful projects with scalable impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one modern language (Go/Java).
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, or data pipelines.
• Comfort with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and modern tooling.
• Excellent written communication and async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems for AI training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Write clean, well-tested code in Python, TypeScript, or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing delivery speed with maintainability.
• Troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well-scoped projects with ownership.
