Telavox is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to embed security into our platform, enabling engineers to ship safer software at scale. You will partner with the Security Engineering Lead to drive secure defaults, tooling, and standards across product and platform teams, bridging CISO strategy and day-to-day engineering reality.
You will work at Telavox’s engineering execution layer, building shared tooling, and driving secure-by-default patterns in CI/CD, while translating risks into concrete,
Are you a hands‑on security engineer who enjoys being close to the code, the systems, and the teams building them? At Telavox, security is not a gate at the end of development. It is an embedded capability that enables us to move fast, safely, and at scale.
Telavox is a fast‑growing digital telco that combines the reliability of telecom with the agility of SaaS across Europe and across the globe. As our platform grows, security becomes a force multiplier, not just protecting what we build, but actively enabling engineers to ship better and safer software every day.
We are growing our Security Engineering team and looking for a Security Engineer to join our engineering organisation. You will work side by side with our Security Engineering Lead, sharing the same mission and many of the same activities, and bringing your own depth and perspective to the team. Together you will make security a built‑in property of every system we ship, by making the secure way the easy way for every engineering team.
As a Security Engineer, you are part of the engineering execution layer that makes security real across the Platform organisation. You work across product and platform teams, building paved roads, secure defaults, and standards that teams adopt as their own, instead of doing every team’s security for them.
You are a close partner to the Security Engineering Lead, who sets direction and priorities for the function. You complement each other: you share the work, challenge each other’s thinking, and divide focus areas based on where your strengths are deepest. You also help bridge the gap between the CISO’s strategic direction and day‑to‑day engineering reality, turning security goals into concrete engineering outcomes.
The role is based either at our new HQ in Malmö or in our Stockholm office.
You are a pragmatic, hands‑on security engineer who enjoys working closely with engineering teams and across team boundaries. You are comfortable moving between code, tooling, and architecture discussions, and you care about making security scalable, practical, and usable. You are just as comfortable working independently as you are in a small team where you and a colleague share responsibility for a broad area.
You believe security works best when it is distributed, automated, and embedded, not bolted on in the end. You lead through explanation and good defaults rather than gates and approvals.
You think ahead about what embedded security looks like when engineering is increasingly AI‑augmented: agent credentials, MCP and tool‑use boundaries, and secure‑by‑default workflows for code that humans and models write together.
