As a Rock Mechanics Engineer within Boliden, you will have a role in ensuring safe and efficient mining operations across our sites. You will work proactively to identify geotechnical risks, recommend effective rock support measures, and contribute to the development of sustainable and productive mining operations. This position is based at our Boliden office and primarily supports Boliden area, with potential expansion to other mines. Regular, weekly travel to mining sites will be part of your work.
You will join a dedicated and highly skilled Rock Mechanics team within Boliden’s Mine Staff organization. The team consists of experienced rock mechanics specialists and geotechnical engineers working across multiple locations and mining operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with mine planning engineers, geologists, production technology specialists, technical services, and external consultants.
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset. With excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, you can evaluate complex geotechnical challenges and communicate recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
