Job summary

AMD is hiring for an advanced AI/ML role in Sweden to build production AI models and training pipelines for robotics and autonomous systems. You will design and scale multimodal foundation models, including VLMs and VLAs, and contribute to open-source tooling and references.

Ideal candidates have a strong ML/robotics background, experience with vision-language models, and proficiency in Python and PyTorch. Collaboration with cross-site teams in Europe and beyond is essential to deliver

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong background in building robotics, perception, or autonomous systems pipelines.
  • Deep learning for perception and embodied decision-making (transformers, diffusion models, world models).
  • Hands-on with vision/multimodal foundation models (ViT, CLIP, DINO, LLaVA) and VLAs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship production AI models and training pipelines for robotics and autonomous systems.
  • Design, train, and scale large multimodal foundation models (VLMs, world models, VLAs) and 3D scene reconstruction.
  • Develop and contribute to open-source codebases, tooling, and reference implementations.
  • Advance the state of the art through publications and open model/code releases.
