Job summary

Ericsson in Sweden is seeking a Researcher Standardization 6G PHY to help develop concepts for 3GPP RAN1 contributions and shape the 6G RAN specification.

You will collaborate with a global team, perform simulations, and drive concepts through technical committees, leveraging deep knowledge of 5G NR physical layer and standardization processes.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of evolving radio access technologies and standards.
• Deep knowledge of 5G NR physical layer and FEC.
• Understanding of 3GPP standardization process.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Develop research concepts for Ericsson’s contributions to the 3GPP RAN1 working group.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of technical specifications for the 6G RAN standard.
• Collaborate with standardization delegates and internal/external stakeholders.
• Carry out computer simulations to support research and standardization activities.
• Build expertise and become a technical authority within a sub-domain of standardization.

You will contribute to the development and maintenance of technical specifications for the 6G RAN standard as be part of a team developing concepts and working with standardization delegates.
