SME Careers is seeking a Swedish Language Specialist to review AI-generated Swedish content and craft high-quality reference material. You will assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and cultural fit, providing precise feedback and model rewrites. This is an hourly, remote contractor role.

You will develop prompts, evaluate AI outputs, and ensure reliability across domains. Strong Swedish and English skills, plus 3+ years of language-focused experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Linguistics, Swedish/English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Native or near-native Swedish proficiency (reading and writing).
• Strong professional proficiency in English (minimum C1).
• 3+ years of writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI training content: create prompts and gold-standard Swedish answers across domains.
• Optimize AI performance: evaluate and rank outputs for fluency, tone, cultural appropriateness.
• Ensure model integrity: detect unsafe or misleading content, bias, and policy-risk language; provide reliable checks.
