Job summary

Abacus Medicine Pharmaceuticals is expanding its medical presence across Europe and seeks a Medical Lead to support cardiovascular activities in the Nordic markets, starting with Sweden. The role is remote with flexibility to stay close to the healthcare environment while working with our Copenhagen-based teams.

You will be the single medical point of accountability for launches, evidence generation, medical review, and governance.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or related field (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc, or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience within Medical Affairs (Medical Advisor, Medical Science Liaison, or similar).
• Solid understanding of scientific engagement, evidence generation, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country medical plan aligned with global strategy and local market needs.
• Drive medical readiness for launches and lifecycle activities with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
• Provide medical leadership and scientific input to cross-functional teams while maintaining independence.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, treatment centres, societies, and external stakeholders.
• Lead scientific exchange, gather insights, and represent AMP at congresses and forums.
• Ensure materials are accurate, compliant, and reviewed before use.
• Manage medical information inquiries and provide evidence-based responses.
• Identify evidence gaps and support local evidence generation, registries, and collaborations.
• Monitor literature and guidelines and communicate key insights internally.
• Ensure timely reporting of adverse events and safety information.
