Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime in Kristinehamn, Sweden seeks a Software Application Engineer – Control Systems to develop and adapt software for marine control systems. You will work on function block programming in AutoCAD and collaborate with project managers, suppliers and customers to tailor software to specifications.

The role requires a degree in automation/electronics/data science or related field, with knowledge of C, Java, MATLAB Simulink, AutoCAD and Linux.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in automation, electronics, data science, control theory or similar.
• High level of spoken and written English is necessary.
• Experience in development and software design for automation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt control and automation software for marine control systems.
• Customize software to meet customer requirements and provide technical support to sales and service teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, application engineers, suppliers and customers and participate in interviews and assessments as needed.
