Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime in Kristinehamn seeks a Hydrodynamicist / Propeller Blade Designer to push the boundaries of CFD-driven propulsion design. You will collaborate with shipyards, designers and owners to deliver efficient, sustainable propeller and rudder solutions using advanced testing facilities.

You will lead high-quality hydrodynamic research projects, ensuring on-time delivery and continuous methodological improvements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Naval Architecture or equivalent.
• High level of English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrodynamic research projects focusing on propeller blade design and CFD analyses.
• Collaborate with shipyards, ship designers and ship owners to translate requirements into efficient designs.
• Work with existing cavitation tunnels and testing facilities to validate designs and improve methods.
