Job summary

SME Careers is seeking an Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a remote contractor role. You will review AI-generated accounting responses and create expert content, providing feedback on correctness and clarity.

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent, and over 5 years of professional experience. You must have strong command of core accounting areas and C1 English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting (public, industry, shared services, or advisory).
• Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Prior experience with AI data training/annotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed prompts and gold-standard accounting outputs.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve correctness.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies and validate reliability.
