Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking an Embedded Software Consultant - SW Platform in Eskilstuna, Sweden, to join a team focused on low-level embedded software and platform development near MCU and hardware. The role emphasizes determinism, robustness, and real-time behavior in ECU software.

You will work with MCUs, boot software, drivers, and hardware abstraction, performing hands-on verification and debugging on target hardware, and contributing to architecture and integration of the software

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in low-level embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers and embedded hardware.
• Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal software.
• Experience with bootloaders/boot software, startup code, memory and hardware initialization.
• Good understanding of real-time behavior, interrupts, memory and peripheral interfaces.
• Strong debugging skills with embedded hardware and measurement equipment.
• Strong programming skills in C++, with Python experience for scripting, automation and testing.
• Comfortable working in an environment with complex hardware/software interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate low-level embedded software for ECU platforms.
• Work with MCUs, boot software, drivers, hardware abstraction and RTOS.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software and hardware-related issues.
• Perform hands-on verification and debugging on target hardware using debug probes, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Contribute to architecture, implementation, integration and verification of the software platform.
