Job summary

Alstom in Hässleholm, Sweden is seeking a Group Manager Systems Engineering to lead a team of senior System Engineers. You will oversee product management, requirements, architecture and design for wayside projects, ensuring resources, workflows and staffing meet delivery commitments.

You will report to the Head of Wayside, drive change to improve quality, and collaborate with project managers, SW development and V&V managers to foster innovation across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
• Strong team management and Systems Engineering in embedded products.
• Experience with testing or development in safety-critical systems.
• Experience with Hardware, Software and environmental development.
• Fluent English required; Swedish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Systems Engineering activities for Wayside Product Development.
• Align the Solution roadmap with internal execution strategy.
• Develop customer relationships to align long-term roadmaps and ensure continuous improvements in both quality and functionality.
• Lead team and individual development performance against objectives.
• Visual Management to monitor and address issues and risks of your team deliveries.
• Escalating risks or events that could impact QCD commitments.
• Organizing and leading Systems Engineering reviews.
• Develop ways of working to adhere to Alstom processes and tools to be aligned with all stakeholders.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of our deliverables, innovate and improve on our existing solutions.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.
