About The Role
This is a full‑time position based at our manufacturing facility in Trelleborg, Sweden. As a Quality Engineer, you will support operations in ensuring that all quality, regulatory, and customer requirements are fully understood and met. You will also contribute to problem‑solving and continuous improvement activities across all departments, working closely with operations, engineering and other key stakeholders to drive and sustain high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement of quality processes across the business
- Develop, implement, and sustain Quality Plans to support ongoing improvement of quality processes
- Implement and monitor KPIs for quality processes and recommend actions when performance does not meet required standards
- Ensure that products and processes meet customer requirements and specifications
- Investigate product quality issues to:
- protect the customer
- identify and implement immediate corrective actions to enable production at acceptable quality levels through root cause analysis
- ensure long‑term actions are implemented to prevent recurrence
- Support internal and external quality audits, including customer and third‑party audits
- Maintain quality documentation and records in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including the use of LEAN or similar methodologies
- Perform other reasonable duties as required
Qualifications
- Educated, preferably to degree level, in a technical or engineering discipline
- Proven relevant experience within a Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Continuous improvement skills, e.g., LEAN methodologies
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 implementation or an equivalent standard
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using SAP is advantageous
- Ability to present data accurately and effectively
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset
- Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands while meeting operational deadlines
- Ability to influence and mentor colleagues to ensure ongoing compliance with Quality Management Systems
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
