Job summary

Saab is seeking an experienced professional for the Aftermarket Product Management team to shape and develop commercial products and services for Airborne Early Warning and Control systems. You will own and manage Support Solutions across the portfolio throughout the full product lifecycle, ensuring competitiveness and customer value.

Collaborating with market, support operations, system and engineering teams, you will develop offerings, identify opportunities, and align with customer needs

Qualifications

• Education: Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with support and aftermarket offerings; defense sector experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of the aftermarket business and lifecycle management in technical/industrial contexts.
• Ability to drive product portfolio development with strong integrity and financial understanding.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.

Your role

Are you an experienced professional with a focus on the product lifecycle and an interest in developing aftermarket offerings? Join our Aftermarket Product Management team, where we are responsible for shaping and developing commercial products and services for Airborne Early Warning and Control systems.

Our portfolio includes advanced airborne surveillance solutions built on different aircraft platforms and integrating a range of sensors, each supported by a comprehensive Support Solution. In this role, you will take responsibility for developing and managing these support solutions across the portfolio, ensuring they remain competitive and deliver value to our customers throughout the entire product lifecycle.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing Support Solutions across the portfolio throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will play a central role in ensuring that our support offerings remain competitive, relevant, and aligned with customer needs over time.

• Identify opportunities: Analyze end-user needs, market and industry trends, profitability, and technological developments to identify new business opportunities.
• Product responsibility: Own and manage the Support Solutions portfolio, including defining and maintaining strategic roadmaps covering the full lifecycle - from opportunity to phase-out.
• Develop offerings: Specify, develop, and continuously improve support services and products.

The role involves close collaboration with market, support operations, system, and engineering teams. It also requires staying up to date on international trends and working with specialists in areas such as training, logistics, and material management.

Your profile

We are looking for a structured and driven professional who enjoys taking ownership and working with long-term product development. You are comfortable navigating complex environments and balancing strategic thinking with operational execution. With strong interpersonal skills, you build trust and collaborate effectively, while also being able to work independently and take initiative when needed.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• Education: A degree in engineering, product development, business administration, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: Experience working with support and aftermarket offerings; experience from the defense sector is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge: An understanding of the aftermarket business and lifecycle management, preferably within a technical or industrial context.
• Skills: The ability to drive product portfolio development, combined with strong personal integrity and a good financial understanding.
• Communication: Fluency in both Swedish and English.

You are comfortable developing product roadmaps and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. You have the ability to engage and motivate others, while also being organized, able to prioritize effectively, and confident in making decisions that improve both performance and profitability.
